Enhanced Audio
Curve's unparalleled flexibility of drawing waveforms for its aliasing-free OSCs and LFOs brought inspiring, unique sounds.
Version 2 adds drawable envelopes, allows for two waveforms per OSC and adds a comprehensive unison mode.
|
Drawable envelopes
New drawable envelopes provide complete control for a sound's attack, hold, decay and sustain phases, from convex and concave curves to multistage envelopes.
Two waveforms per OSC
Each oscillator can now play two waveforms at a time, and their mixing amount can be modulated. This allows for changing timbres with deep evolving sounds and provides up to six oscillator waveforms per sound.
|
Unison mode
A new comprehensive unison mode allows for defining the stereo spread, detuning and damping of up to 16 unison voices for fat lead sounds, wide pads and everything massive.
|
|
Expanded Preset Library
Curve's preset library is a shared online database.
Version 2 makes sharing sounds even more exciting by adding a version history, author and preset descriptions and providing a consistent library.
|
Version history
FM basses might turn into atmospheric mutating pads, lead sounds might get fine-tuned by adjusting their filter envelopes.
A simple click reveals from which preset a sound was derived from, and whether someone picked it up to create a great variation of it.
Preset and author description
Detailed descriptions provide additional information on a preset and reveal more about its author, including web links.
As its author you can edit your info at any time.
|
Quality library
Cableguys preset designers are uploading revised versions of the best, most mind-blowing community presets, to form a consistent preset collection.
|
|
Improved Usability
Curve got praises for its great usability and slick interface. On request from our users, we've improved the color scheme. Version 2 brings a new layout, and adds MIDI assignment.
|
New layout
Version 2 features high contrasts and a fresh color scheme.
|
MIDI assignment
As one of the top requested features, inbuilt support for MIDI assignment allows to set up external MIDI controllers quickly.
|
|
The Curve Community
Since the first beta of Curve 1.0, the Curve community steers the synthesizer's future by submitting bug reports and feature requests, and by sharing presets.
|
Community-driven development
Our bug reports and feature request list will remain completely public at all times.
Since version 1.0 we've provided the most requested features, and so we do with Curve 2, by adding unison mode and MIDI assignment.
We're excited about where you're going to take us in the future.

Shared library
Curve's preset library is a shared online database, populated with presets from you and other Curve users.
Curve 2 introduces new features that make sharing and exploring sounds ever more attractive.

The History Since Curve 1.0
If you haven't followed Curve's development since its initial 1.0 release, here's what got added from 1.0 until 1.4.
|
Mono mode, legato and glide
Curve 1.4 introduced a feature-rich mono mode, plus legato and glide, designed to allow for great depth of control.
Individual OSC modulation
The modulation of individual OSC parameters, introduced with Curve 1.2, expanded its sound capabilities drastically.
Modulation of LFO rates
Not just for the wobble addicts out there, but also for FX sounds and more.
|
One-shot LFOs
These are particularly good for drums. In case you are using a one-shot LFO, you can draw in the precise envelope you prefer.
And there's more
More additions include infinite undo/redo for waveform drawing, aftertouch, 64-bit support for PC and Mac, RTAS support, etc
